Revealing the pathetic condition of CPM in Tripura, report has emerged that says the party has even failed to find a candidate against Kailashahar sitting MLA Moboshar Ali who joined BJP. The party came up with a strange argument after none of the party members was ready to contest against Ali.
CPM State Secretary Jitendra Chaudhary has written to the election officer of Kailashahar constituency stating that Moboshar Ali has not resigned as the party’s MLA and the party has not expelled him. Ali, who won on the CPM ticket from here last time, nominated himself as a BJP candidate this time. But the CPM approached the Election Commission with the demand that the candidature should not be accepted.
Jitendra Chaudhary asks how a sitting MLA from the CPM can become a BJP candidate in the assembly. Moboshar Ali took membership at the BJP headquarters in Delhi last Friday. Then on Tuesday, he also gave the papers in his own constituency. Voting in Tripura is on 16th. Counting of votes will also be held on March 2.
