Rejecting the complaint of Congress, the medical board in Thrissur district informed that there is no need to impose home-quarantine on minister AC Moideen. But the board restricted the minister from taking part in public programmes until May 26. It was alleged that the minister had come into contact with COVID-19 patients.
At the same time, the board directed AC Moideen to avoid unnecessary trips. Following the allegations, the minister has been staying at home from the last few days. Earlier, he also asserted that he will follow the directions of the medical board without any objection.
Congress leaders had lodged a complaint with Thrissur District Medical Officer alleging that he had come into contact with the two people who tested positive for COVID-19 recently. The opposition party also released a video which featured the minister interacting with the expats who returned to the state.
