Sparking another fresh controversy, Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur on Monday backed former MP Chief Minister who said that Jawaharlal Nehru was a “criminal” for imposing Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
“Whoever will hurt our motherland, anyone who tries to break our India, surely is a criminal,” Pragya Singh said. “Those who are happy with the removal of Sections 370 and 35A are proud of our country, those who are proud of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are patriots,” she added.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur also slammed Digvijay Singh who opposed the Modi government’s move to scrap Article 370 from Kashmir. “I fought elections because people who work for religion and national interest should come together and this is the reason why the people of Bhopal have elected me but at the same time, people have absolutely rejected those who should not be here,” she said.
Earlier, on August 11, former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan had called Jawaharlal Nehru a criminal for imposing Article 370 in Kashmir and held him responsible for the state of affairs in Jammu and Kashmir. “Pt Jawaharlal Nehru was a criminal. First, he committed the crime of announcing unilateral ceasefire and secondly he imposed Article 370 in J&K. In one country, how can two symbols, two constitutions and two heads exist? He said.
