National Security, National Interest and Protection of the Constitution Should be Given Highest Priority, PM Modi

National security, national interest and protection of the constitution should be given highest priority, said PM Modi. He lashed at congress for making hue and cry on the decision of abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu. He was speaking at an election rally in Kurukshetra.

He said the government has taken various steps in the national interest. The Prime Minister said the government laid the foundation of development in the last five years and work on making New India is progressing at a fast pace.

He highlighted schemes initiated by the BJP government for women to make them financially independent. He said this Diwali should be dedicated to daughters who are making their families, society and country proud with their achievements.

The Prime Minister said the government’s sports policy has benefited the sportspersons in the state. He said, during an informal meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping told him that he has seen the ‘Dangal’ movie and he saw in the movie what wonders daughters were capable of doing. Mr Modi said these words from the Chinese president made him feel proud about Haryana.

He said the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign would not have been successful without the support of villages of the state. He said health, self-respect, security and empowerment of women have been the top priority of his government.

The Prime Minister said, during the last seventy years, water which was meant for the farmers of the Haryana, Rajasthan and other parts of the country, was allowed to flow to Pakistan. He said, now the work on a project has started to block this water, which will be provided to farmers.

Prime Minister said that people of the country are feeling happy on various decisions taken by the central government in the national interest, but leaders of Congress always criticise them.
