Mizoram Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai on March 30 released Musings of Venus, a collection of poems by Dr Aparna Ajith, Assistant Professor, Sree Narayana College for Women in Kollam, Kerala.

The event was held at Mizoram House in New Delhi, where the Governor addressed the audience online, keeping in view of the Covid restrictions.

Speaking at the event, the Governor praised Dr Aparna’s efforts and wished her success in her literary pursuits. The Governor said the poet had tried to weave in her experiences dexterously in her verses. He said Dr Aparna has given expressions to her love for the country beautifully in the poems. The Governor expressed the confidence that Dr Aparna would make great contribution to Indian literature.

Introducing the book, G Sreedathan, CEO of Indus Scrolls, said Dr Aparna has an eye for details and penchant for perfection. “Bringing out the poetry collection was a great journey as Dr Aparna holds much promise for future,” he added.

In response, Dr Aparna elaborated on how she completed the project before her delivery. “The book came out exactly the time when I gave birth to my baby. My baby was also an integral part of the book project,” said Dr Aparna.
