While the world is looking into the possibilities of virtual reality, India too has now joined the game and has created its own virtual influencer, Kyra. Kyra is 21 years old, according to her creator is now having approximately 100,000 followers on Instagram.
TopSocial India, an influencer marketing network, created Kyra. She was designed by Himanshu Goel, the business head of TopSocial India, and debuted in January. According to Kyra’s bio, she is a “dream chaser, model, and traveler.”

The social media profile of the virtual influencer features her practising yoga, relaxing on beaches, and posing in front of historical monuments. She has also participated in a modelling shoot. Kyra even took part in a metaverse fashion week, according to Mr Goel’s LinkedIn post, which brought together prominent worldwide names like Estee Lauder, Tommy Hilfiger, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Kyra’s reels of herself relaxing in a pool or shots from a photoshoot on the beach or in front of Jaipur’s iconic Hawa Mahal have piqued the interest of internet users. While some find it difficult to believe she isn’t genuine, others have derided the virtual influencer and even suggested that the quality of Kyra’s computer-generated appearance (CGI) be improved.
