Where does reality begin?
Where does the dream end?
The end of no beginning
The beginning of no end?
Here or beyond?
Now or thereafter?
Are we living inside a cave?
Or are we somewhere outside free?
Are we mere shadows
Of creatures made
To be played around
By a master of puppets,
Created a long time ago
And now we are memories?
Or are we perhaps projections,
Holograms of unknown existence,
Starring in a high-tech video game,
Avatars of our alter egos?
Maybe these questions would be
Easier to answer if we only saw
The strings we were attached to;
Or if we caught a slight glimpse
Of our master behind the curtain,
In the theatre of our lives!
