Live and allow others to live; hurt no one; life is dear to all living beings
Lord Mahavir
“Live and Let Live” is not a saying, but a way of living in peace and harmony. Social life depends upon the concept of “live and let live”. Society means a group of people living together. Everyone has a role, purpose and place in this world. Every person has his own likes and dislikes, his own tastes and temperament. Live your own way and let others live their own that alone is the principle of good living. This principle of life can make life peaceful and meaningful.
Surprisingly, man thinks too highly of himself. Even more curiously, he deems others of no significance. Abraham Lincoln once said that we should extend goodwill and love towards all and malice towards none. Man is the crown of all creation. He claims to be the only civilized creature. At least, he should learn and follow the policy of universal love, peace and brotherhood. Narrow parochial, linguistic, racial and religious aspirations should be given up.
From birth, our lives are moulded by relationships. Without another human being to take care of you, you would not have survived. Without other people in your life, you would have an extremely limited view of the world. It is because of people and relationships that you grow mature and thrive.
We must all realize that this world is the only place where all of us have to live. We have no other world to run away and live in isolation. It is high time that we should adopt the policy of “Live and Let Live”. Highly enlightened great men like Buddha, Socrates, Kabir, Guru Nanak and Mahatma Gandhi who exhorted man to realize the oneness of humanity, universal brotherhood, world peace and mutual goodwill have taught us to live together for serenity, peace and harmony.
The need of the hour is that we should rise above petty jealousies by serving others, we serve our own welfare. All our Holy books, prophets and well-wishers of mankind have been preaching us to practice this ideal. The world can be worth living only if we act upon this principle. The aim of all individuals and nations should be to make this world a paradise, an ideal place to live in. Mahatma Gandhi said, “The only way to live is to let others live”. Together, let’s inspire others “To Live”.
Live and let live, do not judge, take life as it comes and deal with it,
James Frey.
everything will be okay!
