The famous temple festival of Kerala, “Thrissur Pooram” has been cancelled this year after the prevailing lockdown extended till May 3.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Ministers which was also attended by Paramekkav Temple Devaswom members.
On that day, only the daily rituals of the temple will be performed. There will be no rituals related to the pooram. It has also been agreed that no rituals will be performed that consist more than five people.
Thrissur Pooram was to be held on May 2. The Pooram Exhibition, which was supposed to begin earlier this month, was also dropped.
