In the maiden pink ball day-night cricket test at Kolkata, India will be looking for a 12th successive series win at home, when Bangladesh, resume their second innings at the overnight score of 152 for 6 on the third day today.
The visitors were trailing by 89 runs when stumps were drawn at the Eden Gardens last night. Earlier, India declared their first innings at 347 for 9 yesterday.
Like first innings, Indian bowlers tormented Bangladesh batting in the second Innings also. Ishant Sharma who scalped 5 wickets in the first innings, claimed four wickets in the second.
Umesh Yadav claimed two wickets.
Skipper Virat Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score a century in a day/night Test, scoring 136 off 194 balls yesterday.
This was Kohli’s 27th Test century. He also equalled Ricky Ponting’s record of 41 hundred as captain in international cricket.
