In a yet another shocking incident, a female CPM activist committed suicide in the state capital. The suicide is following the mental and physical torturing of CPM leaders, says the suicide note. The diseased is identified as Asha, hailing from Neyyattinkara of Thiruvananthapuram district.
The suicide note states that the diseased was going through severe mental and physical torturing by CPM leaders. The letter also stated the names local CPM leaders.
According to the letter, CPM activists Kotaman Rajan and Alatharavilakam Joy were responsible for the death. It also says that both of them mentally abused her and no action was taken against them despite several complaints to the party district committee.
With the CPM’s role behind the suicide coming to light, the party and its leaders have come under fire. Asha was found hanging this morning in a CPM local committee building at Azhakikonam near Udiyankulangara in Neyyattinkara.
Asha was present at the selection committee meeting held at Parashala. But relatives say the party had promised to give them a seat to contest in the Udiyankulangara ward. However, locals said that the party may have cheated Asha in the discussion held yesterday.
