After a few districts in the state get a sigh of relief after relaxations in lockdown, Kerala marked a slight increase in the number of new coronavirus cases. Official sources indicate 19 new confirmed cases in the state today.
Out of 19 cases, 10 are from Kannur, 3 from Kasaragod, 4 from Palakkad and one each from Malappuram and Kollam.
Among the new patients in Kannur, 9 had returned from abroad while one developed the disease through contact. All three patients in Kasaragod had also returned from abroad.
Patients from Palakkad, Malappuram and Kollam districts had returned from Tamil Nadu.
Till date, 426 people in Kerala have been infected by COVID-19 and 117 are under treatment at various hospitals.
