Kerala state election commission said that postal voting will be made available for coronavirus patients and those undergoing quarantine due to the pandemic.
Those who have tested positive for the virus should submit an application to the returning officer along with the COVID-19 positive certificate three days before the election. They can cast their votes and send it back along with a declaration.
The election commission clarified that postal votes received until the morning of the election day will be counted.
The EC clarified that they are considering granting permission for those undergoing quarantine to come to the polling booths in PPE kits to cast their votes.
