Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has sought a report on the strike by the employees of the Kerala Agricultural University. The decision has been taken in the midst of the allegations that neither the Government nor the Ministers are intervening in the strike that has been going on for more than one and a half months. Governor seeks a report from Ishitha Roy, the Agricultural Production Commissioner who is currently in the position of the university vice chancellor.
The clash between the CPM and the CPI organisations is also a major factor in the strike that has been going on for the past 48 days. It is said that the disrespectful attitude of the former vice chancellor towards C V Senny, the general secretary of the association finally led to the strike.
