Police officials who have been appointed for important duties during the Covid times have been barred from using mobile phones. An order to this effect was issued.
Police officials who are appointed on duty at high security areas namely Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, High Court are found to be engaged on mobile phones standing on footpaths or on 2-wheelers and this is seen as a serious lapse from the part of them, the order issued by the ADGP Manoj Abraham said.
The concerned officials must initiate action to prevent unnecessary use of mobile phones, the order states.
