In a case of sexual harassment of women employees, the CPM is trying to protect its leader who is also the president of Thrissur Koorkancherry Co-operative Bank, said a report.
The complaint is against CPM leader and bank president KV Haridas. Women employees have filed complaints of sexual and mental harassment by the president, in the Area Committee to the State Committee. However even after months, there was no action, say women workers.
The victims are now preparing to lodge a complaint with the police and the women’s cell as the party did not take action on the complaint lodged last November.
The district leadership had informed the women employees that the issue would be resolved after the district conference. But even after the district convention, Haridas was being protected by the CPM leadership, employees said.
