The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 3 shops in Vadakara. The raids have been carried out in the shops where the Chief Minister’s additional private secretary, CM Raveendran, is suspected to have benami deals.
The raids were carried out on Friday afternoon. Two electronic shops and one textile shop were raided by the Enforcement Directorate. ED officials enquired about the source of capital to open these shops.
There were allegations from various corners that CM Raveendran was involved in benami dealings. The raids were carried out by 2 officers from ED’s Kochi unit and 1 officer from the Kozhikode unit.
CM Raveendran is a native of Orkkatteri in Kozhikode district. It is alleged that he has benami dealings with several shops in this region. The ED officers returned after completing the raids by evening.
