Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that negligence has contributed to the spread of coronavirus in the state. He was speaking at the inauguration of 102 family health centres via video conferencing.
” Kerala model was considered the best way in dealing with the pandemic. Our health machinery were quite prepared and efficient to handle the crisis and indeed we were successful in the first phase. However, we started neglecting precautions. The most important measure to check and contain the spread of coronavirus is quarantine and social distancing. But this was violated many times,” he said.
CM Vijayan urged the people to take necessary precautions and sought cooperation and support from everyone in the coming days to tackle COVID-19 crisis.
