BJP state president K Surendran said that the incident of sexual assault on a corona positive patient inside an ambulance by its driver in Pathanamthitta is a shame to Kerala. It a serious fault from the health department, he alleged.
Surendran also demanded the Health Minister to resign and take up the moral responsibility.
“The arrested driver has a criminal background. According to the protocol, nurses must be present when taking patients to the hospitals or care centres, which has been violated. The appointment of 108 ambulance drivers should be investigated,” said K Surendran.
The BJP state chief also said that Kerala has become a stronghold of the drug mafia and demanded that the state government should investigate on the same.
