Expressing the anguish over revoking of Article 370, Pakistan Army Chief on Friday said that the Kashmir issue is an “unresolved agenda” of the “realization” of Pakistan and would remain so until a solution is found on the basis of the United Nations resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people.
This year, Defence and Martyrs Day are being observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day in Pakistan. Addressing an event held at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Gen Bajwa said that state terrorism by India was at its peak in occupied Kashmir. He also ‘assured’ that they will not leave them alone and that Pakistan’s armed forces are ready to give every sacrifice for the people of Kashmir.
Throughout his speech he mentioned the ‘terror’ caused by India and ‘blamed’ Indian army’s ceasefire violations. His speech also sounded Kashmir a part of Pakistan that India has occupied the entire region. His remarks are being widely spread through media in Pakistan and among the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir giving them a false outlook of the entire situation.
On Pakistan’s Martyr’s day, Imran Khan tweeted that Pakistan firmly stands with Kashmiris for their right of self determination. “While our current efforts are to expose facist Indian regime to the world, our Armed Forces remain fully capable & prepared to thwart any Indian misadventure or aggression”, he said in his tweet.
