Karnataka School Education Board successfully conducted the examination for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) amidst Corona virus threat.
Nearly, 7.61 lakh students in the state have appeared for the written examination. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S. Suresh Kumar took a determined step to conduct the examination keeping in view the future of the students. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa greeted the students, parents and all the people involved in smooth conduct of the examination without giving room for any complaint.
Mr Suresh Kumar said that it may be for the first time that the attendance for the exam was more than 98 per cent daily since the beginning of the exam on 25th of June till the end today. The state- run KSRTC provided free bus service to children attending the examination not only in Urban and Rural areas but also from the villages on the borders.
The government had ensured that students wore masks, the children were sanitized, the classroom and school building were fully cleaned and total medical care was taken. The results are expected to be out by the first week of August and a supplementary exam for students who could not attend will be held in the last week of August.
