Arana Sandeep, the granddaughter of Karnataka Congress leader TB Jayachandra, has penned a letter to Rahul Gandhi, urging him to consider appointing her grandfather as a minister. The request comes after Jayachandra was not included in the recent expansion of the Karnataka cabinet.
In her letter to Rahul Gandhi, Arana Sandeep expressed her disappointment at her grandfather’s exclusion from the ministerial positions. She wrote, “Dear Rahul Gandhi, I am the granddaughter of TB Jayachandra. I am sad that my grandfather is not a minister. I wish to make him a minister because he is kind, capable, and hardworking.”
The recent cabinet expansion by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah did not include senior Congress leader TB Jayachandra. In response to the decision, a group of Jayachandra’s followers staged a protest outside Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s residence, alleging a sense of injustice due to the underrepresentation of the Kunchitiga community.
However, some party workers and observers have criticized the use of a child to advance political interests. They argue that involving Arana Sandeep in this manner raises questions about the ethical and fair practices within the political landscape.
