IT Dept raids Congress party’s headquarters in Bihar

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, the Income Tax Department on Thursday reportedly raided the Congress headquarters in Bihar. More than Rs 8.5 lakh was recovered from a car that was parked outside at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna.

A notice was pasted at the Congress headquarters.

Earlier, the Congress party was served a notice by the IT department in a matter related to a person who was caught allegedly with cash amount.

Income Tax officials also questioned Bihar Congress in charge Shakti Singh Gohil and national media in-charge Randeep Surjewala in connection with the cash recovered as they were present at the Congress office then.
