India and Maldives today discussed issues of mutual interest in the area of security and law enforcement cooperation. Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with his Maldivian counterpart Sheikh Imran Abdulla who called on him in New Delhi.
Welcoming the strengthening of India-Maldives Partnership, both sides welcomed the expansion of bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including policing and law enforcement, counter-terrorism, counter-radicalization, organized crime, drug trafficking and capacity building. The meeting was also attended by Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and other senior officers from both sides.
