Union Minister for Minoritities Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said that 100 per cent digital Haj process in India has fulfilled the dream of Ease of Doing Haj for the Indian Muslims.
The Minister said that India has become the first country in the entire world which has made the entire Haj-2020 process 100 per cent digital.
Addressing a training and trainers’ training programme for Haj- 2020 at Haj House in Mumbai today, Mr Naqvi said that unprecedented reforms taken by Modi Government has ensured the entire Haj process has been made digital and transparent.
He said that Digital services like online application, e-visa, Haj mobile app and Masiha health facility have provided all the information in India regarding accommodation or transportation in Mecca-Madina to the Indian Muslims going for Haj.
The Minister also said that the entire process has become transparant and removed middlemen ensuring Haj pilgrimage become affordable in comparison to last several decades.
Mr Naqvi inform that the Indian Government in coordination and cooperation with Saudi Arabian Government and Indian Consulate and various concerned agencies in Saudi Arabia are working to ensure safety and better facilities, medical facilities for the pilgrims during Haj-2020.
He said that about 1,23,000 Indian Muslims will go through Haj Committee of India and remaining through Haj group organizers to attend the pilgrimage.
He also added that for the first time this year more than 21,000 Muslim women will go to Haj without Mahram or the male companion.
