After eight months, this is the second plane crash in Nepal. On Sunday, a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara collided with a ravine. 72 people who were on the flight are said to have died.
In the meantime, images of the plane shortly before it crashed are currently being shared on social media. The pictures were taken from the top of a building nearby. The flight veers off while landing in the video, followed by a loud crash.
Today’s catastrophe occurred around 11 a.m. While attempting to land at Pokhara International Airport, a Yeti Airlines flight departing from Kathmandu collided with a nearby ravine. There were 68 passengers and four crew members among the 72 people on board.
Five of the 15 foreigners are Indian. The accident caused the airport to be closed. Tomorrow will be a day of national mourning in Nepal.
