Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said on January 11 that she will contest 2020 US Presidential election, reports CNN.
In CNN’s “The Van Jones Show”, Gabbard said, “I have decided to run and will be making a formal announcement within the next week.” If she makes it to the top, then the Hawaii Democrat will be the first Hindu to become US President. “There are a lot of reasons for me to make this decision. There are a lot of challenges that are facing the American people that I’m concerned about and that I want to help solve,” the Iraq War veteran told Van Jones.
For Gabbard, peace will be a priority. “There is one main issue that is central to the rest, and that is the issue of war and peace.”
