In a horrifying incident that sent shockwaves through the city, a businessman was brutally murdered and dismembered in Kozhikode on Thursday. The victim, identified as Siddique (58) from Tirur, was killed at a hotel in the Eranhipalam area, according to the police.
The police made a gruesome discovery when they found Siddique’s body chopped into pieces inside a trolley bag that had been abandoned in Agali, Attapadi. The shocking murder came to light after Siddique’s son filed a missing person’s report, and subsequent investigations revealed discrepancies in Siddique’s bank account, indicating missing funds.
As the investigation progressed, two individuals, identified as Shibili, an employee of Siddique’s firm, and Farhana, were taken into custody in connection with the case. Shibili, a resident of Cherpulassery, was apprehended along with Farhana in Chennai.
