A case has been registered against a Gulf returnee whose 85-year-old father is diagnosed with Coronavirus in the state. Health officials revealed that he developed symptoms after his son who attended Umra pilgrimage in UAE visited him.
Health workers have found the gulf returnee who refused to get quarantined was in touch of a number of people and had also attended a few religious ceremonies. He had also visited a few clinics and hospitals which are now shut down by the authorities.
Earlier a man from Kasaragod who returned from UAE had caused panic in the region by not undergoing quarantine but travelled extensively to make the district a hotspot of coronavirus in the country. Authorities are afraid that if similar situation would emerge here too.
Health workers are now working on the list of people whom the man contacted after his return.
