Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured the citizens of the state that the government has enough stock of essential items and it will be supplied at their doorsteps. Soon after the announcement of 21 days lockdown by Prime Minister, people in almost all cities rushed to the grocery and medical shops to purchase necessary items. Encouraging the need to stay home and practice social distancing, the Chief Minister said that people need not to panic as there is enough stock necessary items and announced that all the essential items of consumption such as milk, fruits will be delivered to the resident’s doorstep during the lockdown period.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that government has already prepared itself for the situation and there is a plan to deliver essential commodities at people’s doorstep. He said that from today vegetables, milk, fruits, medicines and other essential commodities will be delivered to doorsteps for which government has identified more than 10,000 vehicles. He said that we will also take help of around 4500 PRVs of 112 services and ambulances in this service.
Warning those people who are hoarding the necessary items spokesperson of the government and Power Minister of state Srikant Sharma told media that people should not stock items and state will ensure that general public get the products on the same rate which they were getting it earlier. Deputy Chief Minister of state Keshav Prasad Maurya also appealed to the public that there is no need to panic at all.
