In a clever move, special police teams have arrested four members of a cattle slaughter gang ‘Team Garuda’, in Brahmavar circle station. The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Sharif of Kaup, Mujahid Rehman of Trasi, Abdul Majid of Kotatattu, Sayyed Akram of Bhatkal.
‘Team Garuda’ is an online Instagram account formed to allegedly plan cattle theft and execute them. As per reports, a team headed by Ananth Padhmanabh, circle inspector of Brahmavar along with Gurunath Hadimani, PSI Brahmavar, and Madhu, PSI Kota was formed after the Team Garuda carried out many cattle thefts in Brahmavar and Kota police station limits.
During the arrest, the police also seized one scooty, a car, four long knives, two ropes, and a tarpal worth Rs 3,20,000.
