137 nursing and paramedical students in Mangaluru, India fell ill on Monday due to suspected food poisoning.
The students reported stomach aches, vomiting, and diarrhea and were taken to various private hospitals in the city.
City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar stated that they are investigating the cause of the incident.
The District Health Inspector reported that all the students are out of danger and no casualties have been reported.
The health inspector also mentioned that they will visit the hostel to find the source of the food poisoning.
