As the counting of votes in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 progress, the results so far indicates that the Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to come to power in the state with support from its ally Shiv Sena.
It is historical winning for BJP, for this will be the first time, the BJP government will be re-elected in the state. As per recent trends, the BJP-Sena alliance is way ahead of the Congress-NCP combine. While BJP and Shiv Sena are likely to for the next government in Maharashtra, the Congress-NCP partnership along with the share of independents has reduced the BJP’s potential vote share in the state; some BJP leaders said the party would win over 200 seats.
Prominent faces such as Aaditya Thackeray, Devendra Fadnavis are en route to victory and currently lead by a huge margin from their respective constituencies. Meanwhile, in Haryana, the contest is neck-to-neck as JJP’s Dushyant Chautala is set to play the crucial role of a kingmaker.
