Explosions hit southern Myanmar town ahead of Aung San Suu Kyi visit

In Myanmar, three small explosions went off in a southern Rakhine town of Manaung today just before civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi landed there to open a solar power plant.

A spokesperson for Rakhine’s regional government said that there were three explosions, but no casualties were reported.

He said that no group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
