The Lok Sabha will continue today the general discussion on the Union Budget 2020-21. Senior Congress leader Manish Tiwari initiated the discussion in the house yesterday raising a poser whether it was right for the government to sell Public Sector Organization’s shares. He said that the Indian Economy is very strong because of these public sectors.
BJP MP Jayant Sinha applauded the budget saying that it has something for everybody farmers, students, women and tribals.
Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena from South Mumbai constituency requested the government to concentrate on Primary Education. He said that the compensation to farmers whose crops failed were yet to be disbursed and alleged that no private insurance agency is coming forward to provide insurance cover to the farmers. He insisted Complexities in the GST should be removed and the State Governments should be given their due amount, he insisted.
K. Kanimozhi of the DMK thanked the Finance Minister for including the Archaeological site in her constituency, Adhichanallur where a museum will be set up.
