A voice message has surfaced, threatening Kudumbashree activists and MGNREGA workers to participate in the defence jatha led by CPM state secretary MV Govindan. The threat message was sent by Thankamani Vijayan, a member of the first ward of Harippad Cheppad grama panchayat.
The audio message, which has since gone viral, states that the benefits of Kudumbashree and MGNREGA workers will be curtailed if they do not participate in the immunization journey.
The message also states that MV Govindan will reach Harippad at 3 pm on Sunday and that he must participate in the defence journey to make it a grand success or face the consequences.
In the audio message, Thankamani Vijayan says,
“Dear comrades, the defence protest attended by Govindan Mash is reaching Harippad at 3 pm on Sunday. The President and Secretary of ADS should inform all Kudumbashree members about this. The car will come to go to the event. Those who own a vehicle can go so far. All sisters should participate. You just have to go up to Harippad. If not, the benefits of Kudumbashree and MGNREGA workers will be deducted. It’s a matter for everyone. It’s just a matter of an hour. It has to be a huge success. ”
