Former Congress leader PC Chacko, who made headlines by quitting the party and joining NCP, has revealed that many leaders including K Sudhakaran are not interested to continue in the party. He revealed that the leaders held talks with him regarding this.
Talking to media here on Wednesday, PC Chacko declared that many state leaders will quit Congress in the coming days.
“Most of the leaders who contacted me will resign from Congress. The party is facing a serious crisis. The leadership is unable to control strong state leaders as done by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. I don’t think Congress has a High Command now,” asserted Chacko.
He informed that he will attend the election campaign meeting of Pinarayi Vijayan at Palakkad on Friday.
He vowed that he will campaign across the state for LDF candidates.
Meanwhile, K Sudhakaran dismissed PC Chacko’s revelations on his plans to quit Congress.
“I haven’t discussed any plans to quit Congress with PC Chacko. It is a big lie. I haven’t contacted Chacko in the recent days,” claimed Sudhakaran.
