Students Federation of India (SFI) the student’s wing of communist party in Kerala activists brutally attacked a bar employee after failing to provide alcohol after 1 am. The goons also stole money from his pocket, said the assaulted employee. Media received the CCTV footage of the incident Visuals of the incident.
As per the report, four SFI Idukki district office bearers along with DYFI (youth wing of communist party) local joint secretary are involved in the case. The group arrived after 1 am and asked for alcohol but was enraged by the answer of the receptionist that liquor could not be served at this time. The gang brutally attacked the receptionist and snatched Rs 22,000 from his pocket. A police investigation is on regarding the incident, officials revealed.
The incidents of terror caused by communist parties are common in Kerala while the same is backed by the people in power. Though the party, for the sake of convincing the public, takes disciplinary actions against the involved, the practice is that they will be back into their position soon after the media attention fades.
Recently prominent activists of the students union were arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in a campus. They are also charged for examination malpractices. The incident further revealed shocking stories of irregularities in conducting public examinations in Kerala.
