Senior High Court judge, Justice C.K. Abdul Rehim, has been appointed Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. The appointment has been made following the elevation of incumbent Chief Justice Hrishikesh Roy as Supreme Court Judge.
Hailing from Perumbavoor west Vengala of Kerala, Mr. Rehim was appointed as High Court Judge in 2009. As a High Court lawyer, he had worked as Government Pleader and Senior government pleader during 1991-96 and 2001-2006 respectively.
A senior-most judge in the Kerala high court since 2009, CK Abdul Rehim was the Chairman of Kerala Legal Service Authority of Kerala. He is well known for his judgments such as the prohibition of conducting public meetings and programmes beside roads and judgment to transplant a liver to an infant.
