Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey today said that the Centre has sanctioned Rs 128 crore as Central matching share to Bihar under National Health Mission for fighting against covid-19, paediatric diseases and tuberculosis in the state.
Pandey said here today that Rs 33.12 crore has been sanctioned for covid-19 emergency response and Rs 94.63 Crore for tuberculosis and paediatric diseases.
Prior to this the centre had sanctioned Rs 80 crore for developing infrastructure to combat covid-19 pandemic.
Pandey said that his department was seriously contemplating to minimise infant mortality rate for which special drives have been launched across the state.
He reiterated that there was no dearth of fund and that the centre as well as state were providing their matching share on time for successful implementation of the schemes.
