In West Bengal, the visiting Central team will meet the State administration at Secretariat tomorrow. The seven member team led by the Joint Secretary of the Union Home Ministry has come to the State to assess the damages caused by the recent Super Cyclonic Storm AMPHAN. After visiting affected areas the team will meet the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and other top brass of the administration.
AIR correspondent reports, Central team has completed the visit of Amphan ravged areas in North and South 24 Paraganas districts . During the day they inspected the extent of damages in two districts by road and water ways besides Arial survey . The team dividing in two groups visited Sandeshkhali and Pathar Pratima under Bashirhat and Kakdwip Sub- divisions to take stock of the situation .
They witnessed damages on river embankments in Sundarbans and also interacted with local people. The Central team will submit it’s report on the devastation to the Union Home Ministry after returning to Delhi.
