The central team that visited Kerala to probe into surging number of Covid-19 cases has found that the lapses in implementing home-quarantine of the patients resulted in a high number of cases in the state.
The six-member team clarified that relaxations of the Covid regulations are not the reason for the spike in cases. They handed over the primary report to the Centre.
Kerala treated the patients without any comorbidities at their houses. The state government too cautioned people against the spread of the virus within the family.
The Centre may soon decide on whether directions under the national disaster management act should be implemented.
