Central agencies monitoring groups in Kerala backing terror outfits on social media

The Central intelligence agencies are keeping a watch on those groups in Kerala that support international terrorist organisations. The IS and al Qaeda are being supported the most by some groups in Kerala.

Ansar Ghazwar ul-Hind, a sub-branch of al Qaeda that is active in Jammu and Kashmir, is also active on social media and has accounts registered in Kerala for propaganda.

The intelligence agencies have found that such groups are also active on Hoop, TamTam, Riot and Rocketchat apart from Facebook and Instagram.

Despite repeated bans on Facebook and Instagram, these groups reappear in different names. They create fake accounts to remain active on social media, the agencies say.
