BJP today hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for questioning the government over Galwan incident. Party spokesperson Sambit Patra accused Mr Gandhi of doing politics of misinformation by targeting the government over the death of Indian soldiers in the clash with Chinese troops in Ladakh.
Mr Patra alleged that the Congress leader is acting in an irresponsible manner by attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his tweets when the government has already called an all-party meeting over the border row.
Earlier, Mr. Gandhi had questioned why Indian soldiers were sent unarmed to martyrdom in Ladakh and who is responsible for sending them towards danger.
Hitting back, Mr. Patra cited a 1996 agreement between India and China that prohibited armies of both countries from using any weapon within two kilometers of their border.
