Asymptomatic people may also be positive for Coronavirus: Case reported in Kerala

The district collector of Pathanamthitta of Kerala has warned the public that Coronavirus infection may happen without even showing any specific symptoms in a person. The case was reported from the district where a man who returned from Gulf showed no symptoms but was tested positive for the deadly disease. The news has made people more panic about the epidemic.

Two positive cases have come up in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala that currently has 12 cases. The 45-year-old man from the district was held due to complaints that he was found mingling with people though he had just returned from Dubai. Though he didn’t show any symptoms, he was tested for coronavirus infection that confirmed he is infected.

The report is not just a warning for the district, the collector says, but to the public, that asymptomatic people may also be positive. He also pointed out the chances of the virus infection through ATMs where a number of people visit every day and contaminate the keys. The district collector said people need to be more careful and appealed the public to obey lockdown strictly.
