India’s Greco-Roman wrestlers Ashu and AdityaKundu won a bronze medal each on the second day of the Asian WrestlingChampionships in New Delhi today. Ashu beat Syria’s Abdulkarim MohammadAl-Hasan 8-1 in the 67 kg category. Kundu defeated Nao Kusaka of Japan 8-0 in the 72kg bronze medal bout.
India has so far won four medals in the championships, after Sunil Kumar’shistoric gold in 87kg and Arjun Halakurki’s bronze in 55kg Greco-Roman categoryyesterday.
Gyanender, however, lost 0-6 in the 60kg Greco-Roman bronze medal bout today.The gold in this category was won by Kenichiro Fumita of Japan.
