In another case of Communist terror in Kerala, a BJP worker who was repeatedly harassed and threatened by CPM goons ended up his life. Rajesh, an auto driver who was struggling to meet both ends in his life was aggressively pressured by the CPM goons demanding him not to operate the vehicle in his area.
The CPM goons threatened that his ailing wife would be killed if he brings his auto to the stand. It had been only two weeks when Rajesh bought his auto by taking a loan and he was brutally attacked by the goons. Following the repeated harassment, the path he preferred was to end up his life by setting himself ablaze.
Rajesh who was undergoing treatment following the fatal burns in Kozhikode Medical College for several days succumbed to death leaving his life another example for the violence of CPM in Kerala. He had sustained 70 per cent burns. Two of the CPM local goons O.K Sreelesh and Shaiju Kavoth in connection with the case were taken into custody immediately after the incident while the police have managed to arrest two more CPM members today.
BJP State General Secretary, K. Surendran, accused the police of trying to sabotage the investigations into the suicide of BJP worker and auto driver Rajesh. Surendran alleged that the police charged only weak offences against the accused communist activists so as to help them escape from the law. Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has decided to bury his body near their home rather than cremate it to leave a chance for re-postmortem if required.
They fear that the police is trying to derail the investigations and think that once the body is cremated a re-postmortem would not be possible.
