Days after two sadhus Kalpavriksha Giri (70) and Sushil Giri along with their driver were brutally lynched in Maharashtra’s Palghar district allegedly by Communist goons, another Hindu sadhu was attacked in Hoshiyarpur, Punjab.
According to the police, unidentified assailants brutally attacked Swami Pushpendra Swarup at his ashram in Hoshiarpur with sharp weapons in which he sustained severe injuries. The swami is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The incident took place two days ago.

Replying to a query by Union Minister Som Prakash, Punjab police tweeted that Hoshiarpur police registered a case and a probe is on.

The Palghar lynching of the Juna Akhara sadhus had kicked of a huge controversy. A mob of more than 200 people with weapons had beaten to death the sadhus. A probe is on to find out the real reason for this killings.
