Amit Shah meets soldiers injured in Bijapur Naxal attack

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday (April 5) afternoon met the soldiers injured in Bijapur Naxal attack at the Narayana Super Speciality Hospital in Raipur.

He was accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Amit Shah also met CRPF Personnel at the Basguda camp in the Bijapur district.

Bodies of 20 security personnel were recovered from the jungles of Bijapur in Chhattisgarh, raising the death toll to 22 in the worst ever Naxal attack in four years that resulted from an ambush by some 400 naxals who surrounded the jawans from three sides.

Amit Shah also held a high-level meeting at his residence to review the security situation in Chhattisgarh.
