Keeping up her promises for the people in Amethi, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani inaugurated Wi-Fi facility in the town railway station. Along with Amethi, 5 more railway station will now have Wi-Fi facility that will enable passengers to have free internet access.
Smriti Irani is on a two-day visit to her parliamentary constituency directed officials to speed up pending developmental works. On the first day of her visit union minister Smriti Irani inspected the beautification work being done on the Sagra Lake and also held a review meeting with the railway department on the progress of the Salon-Unchahar rail line.
Addressing a press conference, additional chief secretary in the UP government Avanish Awasthi said, “Union minister Smriti Irani visited the Sagra pond which will be cleaned and developed as a tourism spot. Beautification of Lodhi Baba, Hanumangarhi and other temples will also be done. A tourism spot will also be built in the Jayas area. Similarly, Pasi Quila in Raebareli will be developed to promote tourism.”
She also inaugurated a kitchen garden at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and held a chaupal in Cheda village later before overseeing the arrangements at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Trisundi village where a recruitment drive will be held. Smriti Irani also unveiled Swami Vivekanand’s statue at the Rajiv Gandhi Petroleum Sansthan before leaving for Delhi.
